At DPM Consulting, our people are the foundation of our success. That’s why we’re excited to introduce two outstanding additions to the DPM Water team: Dr. Arash Aghakhani, who joins us for the first time, and Faiyaaz Jameel, returning to DPM with even more industry experience under his belt.
Together, they bring a unique blend of academic insight, technical expertise and practical know-how that will further strengthen our capacity to deliver data-driven, sustainable water infrastructure solutions across Victoria and beyond.
Dr. Arash Aghakhani – Water Resources Engineer
Arash joins DPM as a Water Resources Engineer, with a PhD in Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation and a career grounded in research, modelling, and innovation. With experience at the CSIRO and Monash University, Arash brings a future-focused approach that aligns perfectly with our mission to lead in sustainable engineering.
His technical background spans hydrological modelling, streamflow forecasting, and climate impact assessment, supported by strong skills in data science and machine learning. Arash has worked extensively with spatial data and remote sensing tools, using platforms such as RORB, QGIS, and Python-based modelling environments.
Arash’s ability to interpret complex climate data and apply it to practical engineering problems will be a tremendous asset as we continue to develop smart, sustainable solutions in the water sector.
Faiyaaz Jameel – Civil Engineer (Water)
We’re also thrilled to welcome back Faiyaaz, who rejoined DPM last year after gaining valuable experience working in regional Victoria with a local consultancy. There, he honed his skills in civil construction, infrastructure delivery, and on-site project management – adding another layer to his already strong engineering foundation.
Faiyaaz originally joined DPM in 2021 and played a key role in delivering projects involving stormwater management, hydrological and hydraulic assessments, and civil design. A graduate of La Trobe University with a Bachelor of Civil Engineering, Faiyaaz has technical expertise in CAD, hydraulic modelling, and infrastructure planning.
His return marks an exciting new chapter as we scale our operations, and we’re confident his practical knowledge and collaborative mindset will contribute significantly to the success of our current and future projects.
