This project comprises of approximately 1500 residential allotments with multiple wetlands, retirement village and a proposed community shopping facility. Throughout the project challenges such as main drainage, wetland designs and stormwater retention was a factor in achieving both the requirements for Melbourne Water and the client; both were achieved resulting in   meeting the objectives and vision for the development. A key aspect was the integration of existing mature vegetation within the landscape environment. Through this, was developed the Mayfield Wetland and Hilltop Reserves, where the existing Melbourne Water pipe track was integrated for form a linear park. This estate was the first residential development within the South-East Water region to have a second (recycled) water main pipe installed and operational in Melbourne. In conjunction with South East Water, DPM assisted in the detailed engineering and installation techniques to develop the model as used today.

In 2002 DPM received from the UDIA an award for excellence for a residential development of 400 lots or more and in 2006 DPM was awarded “Environmental Excellence” for work completed to date on the project.
