DPM Consulting Group: 2025 Year in Review

A Year of Growth, Insight and National Expansion

As 2025 draws to a close, we reflect on a year defined by technical excellence, collaboration and strategic growth across Australia’s land development and water sectors. From sharing climate insights with industry peers to expanding our presence into Queensland, DPM Consulting Group has continued to support projects that shape resilient and well-planned communities. None of this progress would be possible without the trust of our clients, the dedication of our people and the strong partnerships we have built throughout the industry.

Industry Leadership and Knowledge Sharing

A Strong Start with Our 2025 Webinar

The year began with DPM’s live webinarThe 7 Key Climate Change Insights Shaping the Future of Land Development, presented by Principal Water Resources Engineer David Moret with guest contributions from Warwick Bishop of Water Technology and Luke Cunningham of Rain Consulting. The session explored the influence of climate change on flood risk, infrastructure design and development planning and offered practical guidance for industry professionals. While this was our only webinar for the year, it set a strong foundation for our continued focus on climate resilience and water informed planning. We are preparing additional webinars for 2026 and look forward to sharing more knowledge and insights with our clients and partners.

Strengthening Our Capability

Welcoming New Team Members

Our people remain central to the quality of our work, and 2025 saw several new additions who enriched our expertise across civil engineering and water resources. In Civil, we welcomed Senior Project Engineer Mathew Davoli and Construction Engineer Shaun Prasad, both bringing strong project delivery experience across major Victorian developments. Within the Water team, we welcomed three new experts who strengthened our modelling, design and analytical capability. Water Resources Engineer Dr Arash Aghakhani joined with deep experience in climate modelling and hydrology, Civil Engineer (Water) Faiyaaz Jameel returned with valuable regional project experience, and Water Resources Engineer Jing (Ashley) Zhang joined the team with a strong background in flood modelling, hydrologic and hydraulic analysis, and advanced computational tools. Together, they bring a mix of technical skill and practical insight that will support our growing portfolio of water projects.

Investing in Professional Growth

Throughout the year, our team attended and contributed to key industry events including the Stormwater Victoria Conference, Floodplain Management Australia Conference and the TUFLOW Conference in Bristol. Staff also participated in targeted construction training and networking programs for emerging professionals. This commitment to ongoing learning ensures we continue to deliver innovative and evidence-based outcomes for our clients.

Project Delivery Across Victoria and Beyond

Across 2025, our teams progressed a diverse portfolio of land development, industrial, retirement living and water infrastructure projects. From land lease communities and retirement villages in Clyde North and Chirnside Park, to major industrial precincts in Melbourne’s west and long-term estates such as Manor Lakes, we supported each stage of planning, design and construction with integrated civil, drainage and water management solutions. Our water team advanced flood impact assessments, drainage reviews and stormwater strategies informed by updated flood mapping and Victorian waterway guidelines, helping clients design for long term safety and resilience.

A Major Milestone: Launching DPM Queensland

Expanding Our National Footprint

The most significant highlight of 2025 was the opening of our Brisbane office and the formal launch of DPM Queensland. Led by State Manager Queensland, Chartered Civil Engineer Mal McCann, this expansion strengthens our capability and positions us to support one of Australia’s fastest growing regions with on the ground expertise backed by national resources.

Celebrating Our Launch Event

In October, we celebrated the official launch at Stilts Dining in Brisbane alongside clients, partners and industry representatives, including Rebecca Young MP. The event marked the beginning of a new chapter for DPM and highlighted our commitment to local collaboration and high-quality engineering delivery.

Supporting Government and Industry in Queensland

Our registration as a Local Buy supplier further enhances our ability to work with councils and public sector organisations across Queensland and the Northern Territory by streamlining procurement and enabling timely engagement on priority projects.

Looking Ahead to 2026

As we move into 2026, DPM Consulting Group is well positioned to build on this year’s achievements. With our expanded presence in Queensland, DPM now operates as a truly national consultancy with national capability and the capacity to support clients across state borders with consistent quality and technical excellence. We will continue growing our Queensland operations, progressing projects that balance commercial, environmental and community outcomes, and sharing insights through new webinars and industry initiatives. Thank you to our clients, partners and team members for your ongoing support throughout 2025. We look forward to another year of delivering trusted, enduring and future ready engineering outcomes across Australia.
